History of GEMS

A Young Soul from Tuticorin District, South Region of Tamil Nadu, Bro.D.Augnstine Jebakumar came to Bihar in the year 1972. During 1979, a registered society was formed in the name of GOSPEL ECHOING MISSIONARY SOCIETY (GEMS), Which is a trans-denominational Charismatic Christian Mission Organization with a vision to bring about societal transformation.

History of GEMS School of Nursing

GEMS began its medical ministry with a small dispensary run by a couple of nurses in 1993. Over the years, the work expanded steadily as doctors joined the services. The patient number increased, there arouse the call for a full-fledged hospital.

Multispecialty Hospital building was planned upon god given prophecy. Foresight told our founders that we would require more nurses and what could be better than train our own people? Thus, the vision of a Nursing school become a reality in the year 2004.

Hence the establishment of Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM) training Programme started. A registered organization founded for the welfare of the under privileged people to meet their enormous need, to improve primary health care at grass root & village level towards educational and social reformation.
